Griffin High School (GHS) serves students in grades 9-12 located in a suburban community south of Atlanta, Georgia, and is one of two comprehensive high schools in the Griffin-Spalding County School System (GSCS). Established in 1914, GHS has a history of balancing academic and athletic success in a diverse student and staff population which has cultivated a long list of notable alumni that includes professional athletes, an Olympian, high-ranking military professionals and a recent Georgia Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame inductee. GHS holds fast to the motto, sapere aude meaning "dare to know," and boasts a rich history of educating successful educators, professors, medical professionals, attorneys, elected officials and entrepreneurs.
