Griffin-Spalding County Schools (GSCS) is seeking your input regarding the plan to apply for the 21st Century Community Learning Center Grant, for the district's elementary schools. The grant program supports the creation of community learning centers that provide academic enrichment opportunities during non-school hours. The grant will specifically focus on students who attend high-poverty and low-performing schools within the district. The 21st Century Community Learning Center Grant would assist in GSCS's existing efforts to provide students with additional practice in the areas of reading and math. Utilizing the grant would also provide literacy and other educational services to the families of participating students.
